Vista West Ranch :: Open House :: Urban Cowboy

For Vista West Ranch's open house, we decided to give a little twist to "rustic". We can't say this enough, but we LOVE succulents & moss! Its just so much fun to work with and you can achieve such fullness and texture without having to go overboard on fresh cut flowers. Thank you to all the wonderful vendors who participated in this open house. We are looking forward to seeing what the February vendor showcase has to bring... We're going green! If you want to see other great shots of this open house... Check out what Hooked on photography put on his blog! Thanks for the great photos Michael... You're a sweetheart!!!

Bat Mitzvah! A Trio of Spectacular Events for Miss Hailey!

Hailey's Wonder Emporium!!! We had so much fun designing this event. It took place over several days at One World Theatre and had different looks each time. From an all white affair, boot-scootin hill country elegant celebration to a perfectly pink and beautiful brown party just for Miss Hailey - it was an awesome weekend. Thank you so much to the always wonderful Caplan Miller Events for the opportunity and for planning such a flawless celebration.

Pink peonies and pink cymbidium orchids with a little touch of moss for a soft natural feel.
If you're planning an early spring event, cherry blossoms are amazing to use to create height and drama while keeping it soft and pretty with their pretty blooms.
Buffet piece with cherry blossoms, peonies, garden roses, and pink hydrangea. Love the drama!
Tulips are really fun to use. They're so unpredictable because they continue to grow and move toward sunlight even after being cut - we think it gives personality to the design.

This is the "Hill Country Elegant" theme we were talking about. Our latest favorite thing is succulents. The color combo of the succulents, moss, kiwi vine and yellow orchids really make this arrangement fun.

White peonies - oh my!!

Kim + Jared :: Star Hill Ranch

Here's a wedding that was some months back, and we've previously blogged about it.. but we had to put more pictures of it on our blog. We love the moss and natural touches. Thanks to Caplan Miller Events and SMS Photography & Diana M Lott Photography! They're all awesome ladies! This wedding was also on Style Me Pretty!

This is one of our favorite bouquets. From the white colors of raununculas, tulips, hydrangea and calla lilies to the accents of green amaranthus and succulents - this bouquet is so soft and natural.
Ahh... the pretty mango calla lilies for the bridesmaids bouquets with the addition of some apidstra leaves. Love!

We currently are in love with moss and succulents. We're on this natural kick! These are great aisle accents for those of you who want an alternative to the traditional chair accents.

Ranuncula boutonnieres are great to use and not too big and fluffy for the "manly" men.

Paper lanterns are awesome on the ceilings AND on walkways! This is a budget friendly way to direct your guests to designated areas and creating some color!

Kim + Jared :: Star Hill Ranch :: 12.29.09

Ok, I have to tell you... I was secretly a little worried when Kim informed me she was seriously planning her ceremony outside transforming the existing Gazebo at Star Hill Ranch into a Chuppah on the LAST WEEK OF DECEMBER! Needless to say, we were watching the weather channel all week and as we hoped...Texas treated us to an absolutely PERFECT Wedding! Courtney Caplan at Courtney Caplan Events was super duper with the planning and back-up rain/incliment weather plan for this event!!  Luckily we were able to stick with Plan"A". :)
