Today when I opened the Petal Pushers inbox I was delighted to find an email from Wedding Wire announcing that Petal Pushers had reached a new milestone- We have received 50 reviews on Wedding Wire from past clients. So it's Monday and our week is made.
We are thrilled that 50 of our former clients took the time to review us- we know these things can be time consuming. Thank you so much for your business, your kind words, and for letting us be a part of your big day.

I know for some people, they see a floral halo and swoon. It's love at first sight. For others they think they are pretty... for someone else. I used to align with the group that held floral crowns on the fence. Thinking these symbolized wild, hippie, earthy chicks and not a modern, city girl such as myself. It is amazing how perceptions can change.
Floral crowns have been around since ancient Greece. Worn for vanity or to honor the gods or recognize great achievements in individuals their use was widespread. They have been a symbol of love, fertility and celebration for hundreds of years around the world. Though, at some point during the dark ages, they fell out of mainstream favor due to cultural beliefs. They revitalized on a global scale in the late 1960s when flower crowns became a staple accessory for hippies, peace, and love. This reemergence of floral crowns heavily influenced mainstream fashion and sparked their re-birth of growing popularity. It seems fitting that something so lovely and delicate would emerge from Greece and modernize itself into pop culture.
The best thing about floral crowns- they are gorgeous and provide a timeless elegance like no other. They can be simple, they can be dramatic, they don't fit in with just one personality or one style. That's the coolest part. I used to think that it was purely peace, love and weeds, not elegance that made a halo. I have learned that floral halos transcend fashion lines because they fit so easily into different categories. They mold into whatever you want them to be using an amazing combination of beautiful flowers to achieve such an effortless look. So, if you are seeking a way to really make a statement consider a floral halo, give your guests something else to swoon about. Enjoy being Queen for a day.
We recently found our flowers featured on Style Me Pretty and we just had to share photos of this GORGEOUS wedding here. The couple stunning, the look timeless. We adore the personal floral touches on the bride and groom chairs and the Letters on the chapel entrance. A serious perk of the job is seeing something amazing from Pinterest come to life. Hope you enjoy this elegant and classic wedding. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

Color and Flowers go with weddings like pb + j. They are used to dress up an event space and create a texture filled combination that mix together perfectly. Flowers provide warmth + beauty. They act as major staples at events as they work to transform a location- to transport you to another place in the world or place in time. Clearly, we think pretty flowers are important and only the prettiest petals should make it to the party. Color choice can be one of the hardest decisions to make when planning your wedding, because photos are forever and you will be reminded daily as to what colors you chose on your wedding day. I know a big fear of mine was that I would look back and regret some pattern or shade...I can be so vain sometimes. In an effort to help your decision making process here is a little sample of some fabulous bouquets from weddings past to give you some color and floral inspiration for your upcoming event. Compliments of the Pantone 2014 Spring/Summer Color Guide. :)
